Teambuilding event features sports legends

Dick Vermeil – former head coach for the Philadelphia Eagles, St. Louis Rams, and Kansas City Chiefs – made a guest appearance at Skytop Lodge this past weekend thanks to the Philadelphia Young President’s Organization.

The well-respected coach spoke on bringing uniquely talented individuals together as a team and his transition from NFL football to wine making.  (True to his Napa Valley roots, he partnered with a winery and produced his own self-proclaimed “Garage Cabernet” wine.)

To coincide with the corporate group’s teambuilding theme, the Stanley Cup was brought in.  Unlike the trophies awarded by other professional sports leagues, a new Stanley Cup is not made each year; names of all of the winning players, coaches, management, and club staff are engraved on its chalice.  Teamwork is what it is all about.
