And the Gingerbread winner is…

Congratulations to Wm Eric Matson, our holiday trivia winner!!

We tested everyone’s gingerbread knowledge through a fun trivia contest on Facebook (candy canes and royal icing might have been thrown, but we promise no elves were hurt in the process!).  Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday a new trivia question was posted.  Each time you correctly answered, your name was entered in the drawing to win a family vacation to next year’s Gingerbread Weekend.  We’re impressed… some of you really know your Skytop history!  When all was said and done, there were more than 185 names in our drawing.

Here are the trivia answers in case you missed any:

• Skytop’s holiday activities take place in the Pine Room.
• More than 1,000 lbs. of gingerbread was used in our spectacular winter display.
• Ruldolph, Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, and Blitzen make up Santa’s reindeer team!
• More than 300 lbs. of candy make up the Skytop Gingerbread House.
• ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas is read fireside at Skytop Lodge.
• Skytop Lodge started celebrating the holidays in 1928.
• There are more than 20,000 Christmas lights in the Pine Room.
