Way before Michelle Obama was touting the benefits of healthy eating for kids, Skytop Lodge was walking the talk. For the past five years, Skytop has been offering a Kids Cook in the Clouds. Chef Sunberg, Skytop’s Executive Chef and the program’s creator, has devloped a dinner party event. The smaller children (7+) prepare the menu, set the table, arrange the lines and takeover all of the front of the house duties, while the older children (12+) are in the back of the house cooking with the chef. The entire event culminates with the Kids Cook culinary team hosting a dinner party for their parents. It’s a proud moment for mom and dad, the kids enjoy as the whole experience is empowering, plus many make new friends along the way.
Get your kids in the kitchen this month as Kids Cook in the Clouds is being offered March 17-18 staring at $325 a night per double occupancy. Check out Skytop’s for additional details or call 800.345.7759
